Cedric Benson Texas
Carnell Williams Auburn
Ronnie Brown Auburn
Vernand Morrency Oklahoma State
Cedric Houston Tennessee

Maurice Clarett

Ciatrick Fason Florida
Eric Shelton Louisville
Ryan Moats LA Tech
Darren Sproles Kansas State
Kay-Jay Harris West Virginia
JJ Arrington Cal

Even though Cadillac had a dismall showing during the Senior Bowl game, due to back spasms I think, Carnell still wowed all the scouts during the week, and that's what counts.

I like Cedric Houston, Morency is a stud, Benson has alot of wear and tear but a stallion nonetheless, and Ronnie Brown is smoooooth.

Mo is an intangible. I think he's still got it, but I don't know if he can find it.

Darren Sproles is giving some offensive coordinator some great ideas about right now, guaranteed. I think Moats can play on a level field (as long as his blockers are as good as the other guys.) Kay-Jay will be around for quite a while, and Arrington will find a home somewhere.

Eric Shelton, and Ciatric Fason, I'm have very little knowledge of, but I do know Shelton collected alot of points this year from a fantasy perspective.

I actually have Shelton in my top 5. I would go:
Cedric Benson Texas
Ronnie Brown Auburn
Cadillac Williams Auburn
Eric Shelton Louisville
Darren Sproles Kansas State

Now I know NO ONE has Sproles this high. But with his speed and elusiveness, I see alot of teams taking him to be a returner, and 3rd down back ala Metcalf.

I really like Sproles, too. I don't think he'll be the fifth back taken, though.

Having trouble with my list, mainly at #1 and #2. I just cant put Carnell Williams ahead of Cedric Benson, or vice versa at this point. My #3, and not far behind 1 and 2 is the Oklahoma State kid. Anyhow...

1. Cedric Benson (Texas)
2. Carnell Williams(Auburn)
3. Vernand Morency(Oklahoma St) - very tempting to put this underclassmen as #1
4. Ronnie Brown (Auburn)
5. T.A. Mclendon (N.C. State) - on the bubble

Like him as well, but I see him as a late 3/early 4 guy. Sproles can be productive in the right system, and in the right situations. Not an every down guy though, and may even turn out to be nothing more than a special teams guy.

I just noticed that I left T.A. Mclendon off my list. I'd put him in there right after Ryan Moats.

1. Ronnie Brown
2. Cedric Benson I am skeptical but think he will be a feature back for a short time.
3. Vernard Morency Underclassman low carries time to mature under pro guidance
4. Cad. williams
5. Marion Barber This guy is going to be a feature back in his second year and if he stayed in Uni one more a 1st round pick.
Sleepers
Anthony Davis and Kay Jay Harris who is a mature player and a great sure bet of a soild back up or possible starter.
