Do you know of a place where we can find one for fantasy drafts?

Here is a pick value calc that has been around a long time:

Here's an explanation on how I use the attached (NFL) Trade Value Chart for Fantasy league purposes. I also ran the values against the FBG link that Miller attached above. The problem I find with Dodds version is Keeper pick values are way off unless you add in rounds for the kept players. Also there's no reference chart to value a Player that may be part of the deal.

The attached version here is set up for a 16 team 5 Keeper league. The Greyed cells allow for 5 players/team. The non-grey are the values of the picks in the draft. Coloured cells are for the example trade listed below.

Example Trade
Team A gave up picks 2:13 and 4:13 (yellow cells) value of 112
Team B gave up Ray Rice and pick 4:02 (green cell) value of 42

The resulting differential of 69.5 equals out to the equivalent of pick 2:16 (112 overall) in this league format. (tested against FBGs using the Blue shaded cells overall pick #'s came out even) Rice has an ADP at around 95 in redraft leagues right now, so it would appear that Team A came out the best on points in this deal. Lets examine this a little deeper from both teams point of view

Team B's View
Assuming Team B feels that Rice is a 5th keeper in the above format, he would be looking to recover a value between 225/190. However with cutdown coming he may have been forced to release Rice for zero compensation. He recovers approx 35% of his percieved value of Rice. 70 of 200 pts

Team A's View
Team A would have to have at least the same approximate value for Rice or there would be no reson for the trade. Team A will also have to drop another player from his roster to get under the Keeper limit. This could be someone with an ADP in the 150/200 range. It winds up costing him about 45% above his percieved value of Rice as apposed to taking a chance on getting him for free in the draft. 290 of 200 pts

Overall View
It's obvious that both of these teams value Rice more than his present ADP. I would say that is the increased value of RB's in leagues of this size and type. Both teams gave something up to make this trade happen.

This is an actual trade that raised a bit of controversy here in a SO league. You can read about it here if you want I'm Team A

That is how I use the NFLs Trade Value Chart for trading in Dynasty and Keeper Leagues. It is easier to assign a players value when looking at the whole page and seeing where said player seems to be presently ranked OR where you would personally rank them yourself.

Hope this works for ya. Good Luck in all your leagues

Dodds is for redrafts, it does not translate well to dynasty or large keeper leagues IMO.

Draft calc's are crap and unreliable.

The NFL based ones are very bad.
Even the one Miller put in a link to sucks. Have you ever just plugged things in to see what the calc thinks? You might be surprised.

According to the one Miller linked - I should trade the 1st overall pick for the 25th and 23rd picks or I should try to move the 1st overall pick for the 10th and 59th. Anyone out there want to trade the first overall for either of those deals?

You can play with this junk and if the result is what you want, clue in the other owner to it to help get the deal done, but these things are totally unreliable and not worth the timeit takes to plug in the numbers.

I agree and disagree here. I do not think Dodds is the end all at all, in fact I disagree more than I agree. However, it is a nice base reference to see the relative value of the picks you have. If you mix the calc with common sense it can help you be a more efficient trader....if you go blindly on the calc....well your screwed IMO.

The value is it is a relatively objective or perhaps better description is it is a consistent way to evaluate offers you are considering making or are receiving. I have found it helpful in that respect.

I have also found it helpful as you indicated - if you like the deal but the numbers work in your opponents favor to make them aware of that fact so they are more willing to give it consideration.
