CM Punk

With CM Punk as the World Heavyweight Champion, you have to ask yourself, what now?

Currently, CM Punk is expected to have a short title reign while they transition after the draft. Industry insiders are equating CM Punk's World Title run to Bret Hart winning the WWE title from Ric Flair in 1992 and Eddie Guerrero winning the title from lesnar. Both were slated to be a transitional champions, but, both Guerrero and Hart won the fans over as champions forcing WWE to allow them a substantial run as WWE Champions. In Hart's case, multiple championships.

Does CM Punk have the capability to win fans over or will he befall the fate of many one time champions?

Yes, fan wise. However all I hear is he is a heat magnet behind the scenes. So if that is the case, I doubt he holds the belt long. I think they are trying to guage if they have another Jeff Hardy on thier hands.

Jeff Hardy with the fans. Yes I think so. Jeff Hardy with the out of ring issues...no.

CM Punk is a safe bet. He wont get hurt. He doesnt abuse alcohol or drugs. Fans love him. He's the perfect blend of size and speed that can work with and legitimately beat anyone. Cuts good promos.

I have no problem with him being World Champion. They let fucking Rey Mysterio be champ riding the coattails of Eddie Guerrero, so why not let CM Punk do it.

I personally thought it was bullshit when he kept losing to John Morrison. I dont like Morrison at all, and I think him being ECW Champion was a joke. I didnt care for Chavo having the belt, but at least Chavo can wrestle and the family has some legacy. Who the fuck is John Morrison?

CM Punk can win over the fans. As far as his backstage heat goes, it all comes down to pissing Vince off. If CM Punk as Champion helps ratings and makes him money, then he's not going to care if the writers don't like him.
