I simply can't see how you can outright score this for Jackson. A tie is about the best I think you could argue unless your going to ignore Jackson being dominated in rd 2 and not give Forest the 10-8 round.

Round 1 - Won soundly by Jackson 10-9
Round 2 - The most lopsided round of the fight. Forest got Jackson's knee and he was noticeably hurt. Forest got Rampage on the ground and had him in a choke then preceded to ground and pound him for the entire round. Jackson had zero offense in the round. Griffin - 10-8
Round 3 - Here is the wildcard. A feeling out round in which Jackson got his leg back under him for the time being. Not much damage or effectiveness by either fighter. I scored it 10-9 for Jackson, but you could easily went 10-9 for Griffin as well as the judges all obviously did.
Round 4 - Rampage controlled the action, but Griffin found hard with a couple close submission attempts. Even with those, this was clearly a Jackson round, 10-9.
Round 5 - Griffin simply never gives up. Went back to the leg and Jackson was simply unable to put any pressure on it and his striking was limited due to this. Griffen picked him apart in the last frame. Griffin 10-9

I simply don't see an argument on any of these round aside from Round 3. If you know MMA, that round 2 was a 10-8 round, period. If your a casual fan watching and just looking for who won each round, then the arguments start. So my best case for Rampage is a 47-47 draw. With the toss up round 3 going to Griffin it's a 48-46 win for him (the score on two of the judges cards). Not sure how the other jusde scored it 49-46, Forest did not win 4 rounds.

I have absolutely no problems with the descision and felt is was the fight of the year so far. I have seen much more controversial descisions then this one. I can't wait to see them do it again!

Any chance that Rampage didn't take this fight seriously? Maybe he thought he would just "whip the white boys ass"?

Actually I think both took it very seriously. The key to Forest's win was him hitting and getting out, and him taking Ramapge down to 1 leg. His leg kicks to the knee were brutal!

Well, we definately need to see this settled. The only way is going to be with a clear winner, via TKO, KO, or Submission.

Scoring MMA is difficult. You have to remember that just becuase someone is active, doesn't mean he's scoring well. Jackson controlled the standup and Griffin crontroled the ground. It was his ground control that gave him the edge here. There will be a rematch, count on it.
