U.S. Open

Don't know how many of you have been keeping up with the events but I figured I would start a thread in case anyone had some input.

I've been watching it pretty regularly, big fan of James Blake, who at the moment, needs to step his game up and finish off Santoro or this will wind up being a rather upsetting showing for him.

I will be honest I have stopped watching Tennis since my Petey retired.

I was really into tennis when Agassi came along even started playing and went to camp. Then Petey came along and I was hooked since he retired I don't watch.

What an amazing match that was...James Blake finally wins his first 5 setter but the Frenchman definatley did not make it easy for him.

The Blake v. Santoro match is the perfect example of what makes tennis so entertaining to watch.

I thought this was a golf thread when I clicked.

I love watching tennis, if it is on when I happen to be clicking through the channels. Not sure why I have never gained the interest to actually think about it any other time though, as I actually enjoy watching the matches.

I remember watching Wimbeldon with my mom when I was little and have liked it ever since.

My daughter and I watched tennis when she was growing up, and she played a bit in highschool. I haven't watched much for a couple of years though and don't really know the big names very well.

Several great matchups on today's card:

Agnieszka Radwanska faces Maria Sharapova (2)

Thomas Johansson faces Andy Roddick (5)

Roger Federer (1) faces Josh Isner

Stefan Koubek faces James Blake (6)

Should be an exciting day in New York.

Blake wins in another match in which his opponent gave him absolute hell.

Federer won fairly easy.

Roddick dominated his match.

But the absolute shocker yesterday was Maria Sharapova's early and unanticipated exit from the tournament as she lost to Agnieszka Radwanska! This definatley shakes things up in the ladies' bracket.

Couple big matches today also:
Women's Singles:
Marion Bartoli (10) vs. Serena Williams (8)
Venus Williams (12) vs. Ana Ivonivic (5)
Justine Henin (1) vs. Diana Safini (15)

Men's Singles:
Jo-Wilfred Songa vs. Rafael Nadal (2)
Juan Martin Del Porto vs. Novac Djokovic (3)

Doubt there will be any upsets today but I would have said the same thing yesterday, you just never know what's going to happen.
