With the current state of affairs in the NHL (many people don't even realize they aren't playing) and MLB's problems, I think both the players and owners want to get a deal done. The sides weren't that far apart to begin with, either. Neither side wants to be seen as the reason the game isn't played.

Crossing my fingers now that we wont have a work stoppage afterall.
