| Who Me? Admin | b/c Atlanta only has 1 and has disappointed many times. Hell Denver is on there and they have 2 SB's, but the 4 losses hurt them. The Reds on the other hand have 5 WS Championships. Hey, I didn't make the list, just trying to interpret how they come up with some of them. They took into consideration all sports and all times. Recent championships didn't seem to overcome multiple previous failures and near misses. |

| Master of Inexpertise Premium Member | A couple things about Seattle. Yes, the Seahawks are always in the playoffs. But they're in the NFC West. Case closed. The Mariners get to the playoffs only when they have an incredible season (by their standards) and they STILL only manage to win the wild card. And, without fail, they choke once they have to play a decent team, no matter how many times they beat them in the regular season. They can't play under pressure. The Sonics.... I'm not going to go there. At one time, they had Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Detlef Schrempf, and Nate McMillan, and they STILL couldn't win the ONE championship they made it to. Granted, they lost to Jordan and the Bulls, but still.... Don't think this makes me any less of a fan. |

| Outlaw | 100+ seasons without a championship? Welcome to Philadelphia. Where the four major sports teams have gone without a championship for over 25 years and the main team that everyone cares about hasn't won since the 1959 season - preceding the Super Bowl era. |

| Genibus Nitito Canus Premium Member Forum Leader | Dallas, Austin (no major sports of course), and San Antonio have faired well. I believe the Stars won a Stanley Cup not that long ago, and the Cowboys have won a few straps. The Spurs have won a few titles, Austin has faired well: Austin Toros (NBA D League) one of the best minor league teams and in the playoffs Round Rock Express (Houston Asstros AAA Affiliate) won a couple AA titles Texas Longhorns (2005 Big 12 and National Championship)(2007 Big 12 Reg Season Basketball Championship). So what about Houston? The Asstros broke hearts. The Rockets picked up a couple titles like 10 years ago. The Texans have failed to produce (yet), The Oilers never won a championship then moved away. That kinda counts dont it? |

Seattle Storm won the 2004 WNBA championship. 1978-79 Seattle SuperSonics were world champs. Seattle Slew the only undefeated triple crown winner...ok, I know it's only Seattle by name, but still...it should count. LOL Los Angeles without an nfl team...shameful. |

| TO THE DEATH | I have to whole heartedly disagree with Atlanta being number 1 on this list. Atl is a baseball town, always has been and alwaays will be. The other pro teams are complete after thoughts. And few can argue that the Braves are one of the worst franchises in baseball. Their fans are die hard fans. When I think worst sports cities, I think the fans, and the top 2 that come to my mind are Seattle and Houston. both fan bases show up when teams are winning, but they are a no show when their teams are down. the Rockets won 22 straight and the fans started showing up. They lost to Boston and the fans quit coming. It's the same way in Houston. No one showed up during the Astros World Series run until they actually got their. Houston was a die hard football city until the Oilers left. That was their team. Maybe the fans felt betrayed and will no longer invest themselves into a team. Seattle fans couldn't care less about their pro teams. People go to the football games because they win more often then not. Seattle fans care when they expect to win champiosnhips and that's it. We need more San Antonio's. They only have a the Spurs, but they sell out whether their winning or losing. They have always been that way. Third on that list is Philly. I don't think I really need to justify that point. |
