Exclamation I need a new cell phone - Help!

I bought a Samsung phone several months ago, it was supposed to be one of the best phones you could get in terms of reception, and clarity.

THE PHONE IS A PIECE OF CRAP!

Sportstramp's old razr phone is better than this pile of junk.

Strong reception is a must, as cell towers are not at the corner of every street around here.

Any suggestions? I don't mind paying good money for a phone, but I want a GOOD phone once I pay the money.

By the way, AT&T user here if that matters.

I just got a phone like your old one, Mike. It works very well for my, but the ring-tones are not really recognizable. I'm not sure when it rings.
How about a blackberry?

I am partial to Motorola. Have never had any problems, and I usually get reception where most phones can't.

I have the LG Chocolate and I hate it. Breaks too easy, you bump keys too easily, and it isn't that user friendly.

Going to the AT&T store today to see what they got, and most likely spend way too much money.

Get the tilt. Not sure if the reception is good, or the clarity is good, but it looks cool

I loved my RAZR, until I dropped it in the lake...ooops! I think the thing I liked about it most was how big the screen was. The speaker phone and ringer could've have been a little louder, but over all

I recently got a Blackberry Pearl, but wish I had held out for a Blackberry Curve. Pearl has two letters per button while the Curve's letters each have their own button. I'm still learning.

I loved my Razr... never a problem with reception at all. Right now, I have a Samsung, but I haven't had too many problems.

I am the proud new owner of a Motorola RAZR V9. I considered the Z9 which was $20 more, but the only difference was it was a slider, rather than a flip, and it had GPS capabilities for the cost of 9.95 per month.

Didnt need the GPS feature ( I already have a GPS), and I preferred the flip to the slider, to the V9 was the choice.

Signal is much better than my POS Samsung A707.

Thanks for the responses.

I'm with AT&T myself. I have a Samsung, something or other. I don't remember the name of it, and since I'm at work I have no way of looking at the box. Had it for about six months and have loved it. I was thinking though, of getting the new iPhone 3G. It releases July 11th, and I'm an apple guy. Plus my 30GB iPod died on me a week ago. The audio card fried and I'm six months past the warranty so I'm pretty much SOL. It's another $200 to replace the iPod, so I figured why not spend that money on an iPhone. I read however that even though it is half the price and double the speed of its predecessor, the monthly bill increase makes up for it. Over 2 years you will pay $240 more than the 1st generation iPhone's service. Lame. I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

We have the Samsung A737 slider. I like the damn thing. Ive dropped it a couple times and its still working just fine. I also liked it was free lol.

The two things I dont like about it are the length of the ring tones and how quiet the loud ringer is.

The video recorder and camera are pretty good on it, and I use it quite a bit at work as its got better picture quality than the Kodak digital camera they issue us
