I don't know a whole lot about card collecting. So, you tell me....
I have about 5 or 6 *mint* condition Jeff Bagwell cards. Are they worth anything? Where should I go to find out?

Never collected any baseball cards, but I have a feeling Catman will have some ideas for this.

Check out Beckett's Guide to Baseball Cards. It will tell you approximate market value for the cards. A dealer will give you about half of market value for it.
I don't actually collect them, but I have a few -- 3 albumns full, plus the Topps box sets for the past 4 or so years.
Now, if you had an autographed card, it would be worth a bit more. I gave a Yogi Berra autographed card to my nephew that is worth about $300. It cost me about $50 to get it and he asked me to get it for him.

I have about 30,000 cards total. 99.9% Topps. I don't believe I have any Bagwell cards. I once sold 6 Eddie Murray rookie cards for $20/each. My most expensive card is a Ron Cey rookie card ('73). Oh yeah, some guy named Schmidt is also on it.
