Nic, that's a great twist on the dip I make it a lot without the Sausage and the Mushroom soup. Will need to try adding those to it.

The hamburger, cheese, and salsa make a great game day dip. Very quick and easy to make.
Another good easy dip is velveeta and hormel chilli without beans.

If you like brussel sprouts (which I'm not a big fan of but will eat them this way)....

Saute in a few tablespoons of butter - 1 medium onion with a few slices of (cut into strips) bacon. When onions are translucent and bacon is almost done...scrape the bits left on the bottom of the pan and add 1 package of brussel sprouts (each one cut in 1/2 unless they are really small). Coat the sprouts with the sauteed and bits mixture. Then add 1 can chicken stock and a pinch of black pepper. Cover and simmer on low heat until sprouts are tender.
I'm reciting this by habit...no recipe really.
Just tried it once and it was a way to get me to eat those little cabbages

Thanks Dude...and the best part is that it's not rocket science to make and you can make ahead of time, just don't cook the sprouts all of the way. Then when you're almost ready to eat, just pop them back on the stove and finish cooking for a few minutes.

Nope. A 10 lb wild one. That bunny was so big, I couldn't miss. Only one that our group put in the game bag that day.....

Franky, have you ever considered writing recipes for Martha Stewart magazine?

ST, that BS recipe sounds like a nice change of pace. I personally like them with butter, salt, and pepper - cooked to a bit under crunchy. A box of them babies while watching the tube or a movie is better than popcorn.....

Although the gastric repercussions are somewhat similar, for me anyway.

Hey I never saw this thread before. Those recipes sound awesome.

I love to cook. Have to make the pies from scratch here. Also had to import pie tins. there's no german word for pie, put it that way.

For Super Bowl parties I like to bring a warm snack. If your host will grant you a litttle kitchen access to an elecrical outlet you can try this out. A fondue pot works great but a small crock pot or electric skillett works fine. You can buy some premade precooked meatballs. Italian is fine but I like the little swedish style ones bettter myself. You can make your own meatballs from scratch if you like. I like to prepare the sauce with the meatballs simmering in the sauce before hand and reheat at the party. But you can just simmer the sauce up and throw the meatballs in at the last minute.

For the sauce you mix a bottle of Heinz Chile Sauce with slighty larger jar of grape Jelly. Lots of meatballs, just use more ingredients in this ratio. Stir and simmer for awhile untill they blend together. Incredible taste, everybody I have served them to has liked them.
