This is a shocker to me. I didn't realize he'd been ill. Sorry to hear this.
Condolences to his family and friends.
A lot of good ones have died recently.

Mike Wallace did an interview that aired on some CBS Radio stations today and said Ed was a good journalist and a great friend. I would agree with the first part and have to take his word on the 2nd. I never got a chance to make his acquaintance.
