| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | DB's Mock Draft Alright, I'm bored, so I'll offer this up. A few keys here. 1) No trades, just too hard to project. 2) I'm predicting what teams WILL do, not what they SHOULD do. 1) Chicago - PG Derrick Rose, Memphis IMO Rose is the best player in the draft and I've thought that since early this college season when I first saw him on a court. He is a winner and a game changer, a franchise changer. I think he will be the next Chris Paul, but better. 2) Miami - PF Michael Beasley, K State Just because I have Rose #1 doesnt mean I don't love Beasley. I think Miami is in a can't lose position here, being able to pair up either MB or Rose with D-Wade and Marion. That, to me, vaults the team to being as good as anyone in the East. Reports are that they covet Rose and will trade down if he's gone. I'm not buying that they're that stupid. 3) Minnesota - SF Danilo Gallinari, Italy This is where my #2 rule comes in. And just shoot me now. IMO there are three absolutely elite players. OJ Mayo is much closer to the top 2 than all the rest. No, not a huge position of need, but Minny needs more than anything a face of the franchise and a difference maker. But Kevin McHale is a complete and utter idiot. It's an absolute lock for him to burn the pick on an overrated big. Cross Love off the list, because he's actually good. It will have to be Lopez or Gallinari. I'll just have to hope we trade down first and get SOMEthing, but again, I rever to the Kevin McHale is an idiot rule. 4) Seattle - PG Jeryd Bayless, Arizona I love Bayless, and I think it's clearly gotta be him or Mayo here. It looks like the Sonics prefer Bayless and he may fit better on a team where there may not be enough looks or face time for both Durant and OJ. With either one of them plus Durant and Jeff Green, this team should be on the right track. 5) Memphis - PF Kevin Love, UCLA No pun intended, I really Love this player, but not quite this high. He is better than most people think though. Unmatched basketball IQ, ability to hit the right pass, make the big play, read the defense, draw the foul. He will overcome the athleticism issues in the right system and be a very good NBAer. 6) New York - SG OJ Mayo, USC Jackpot. Could it really happen this way? If it does, you can thank Minnesota and Memphis's genius GMs. Actually I could see this pick being a struggle. I think D'Antoni is in love with Russell Westbrook, a player who would absolutely light it up in his system. But OJ Mayo + New York = a media star, and there's absolutely 0% chance they pass on him if he's there, whether D'Antoni likes it or not. 7) LA CLippers - SG Eric Gordon, Indiana I think the Clippers are a team that will be on the move, either up to get a guy they love like Mayo or Bayless, or down once they miss. As it stands, I'll slot Gordon here who can't fall much further. 8) Milwaukee - SF Joe Alexander, WVa WWBSD? What would Bill Simmons do here? We'll never know. Milwaukee is a tough team to figure out. They won't be drafting a 2 guard, otherwise the field is pretty wide open. Why not a real wildcard player here as well? 9) Charlotte - PF Darrell Arthur, Kansas I'd love to slot Kevin Love in here as he fits what the Bobcats like to do... take the smart player without a ton of upside, a guy who was a winner at the college level. With him gone already, I see two possible fits here that fit that criteria: Russell Westbrook and Darrell Arthur. I'm going off the board a bit here with Arthur. 10) New Jersey - PF Anthony Randolph, LSU No idea what the Nets are doing right now, and they don't really have anyone they are certainly building around other than Devin Thomas, with both VC and RJ seemingly on the block. One or both will be gone by opening tip. That basically means take BPA here as long as it's not a point guard. Unfortunately two of the best avialable here are, Westbrook and Augustin. So how about some irrational upside instead? B-U-S-T. 11) Indiana - PG Russell Westbrook, UCLA Jackpot here for the Pacers, who get the #5 guy on my board at #11 and at a need position. Tinsley has seen better days. Westbrook is going to make plays at the NBA level. He'll get to the basket and draw fouls, and he'll energize a team. 12) Sacto - PF DeAndre Jordan, A&M What to do with a team that has a good but not great SG in Kevin Martin and a bunch of aging out of place pieces? Who knows. How about throwing down on a lottery upside pick? 13) Portland - PG DJ Augustin, Texas Augustin is about the 7th or 8th best player in this draft imo and would be a great back court fit next to Roy. Just another winner on a scary team, although I expect Portland to trade out of this pick or take an international player they can wait on. 14) Golden State - C Brook Lopez, Stanford This would be about the right place for Lopez, who has above average post skills and decent athleticism for a white guy. All the more reason why Minny may go ahead and burn the #3 pick on him. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | 15. Phoenix (via Atl) - SF Brandon Rush, Kansas I think this is a great fit for this team, a streak shooter who can run and play some tough defense. He would immediately join this rotation and long term could project as a guy a lot like their current 3, Grant Hill. Not quite as well rounded, but he could be. He'll never be the franchise guy people want him to be, but he can be great in the right place like Phoenix. 16. Philadelphia - C Marreese Spreights, Florida They're set at PG and athletic swing men but could use plenty of help by way of big men. Actually really like Spreights in the second half of round one. 17. Toronto - C Kosta Koufos, Ohio State International big man? High upside? Sign Toronto up. 18. Washington - SF Donte Green, Syracuse Where is this team going? Butler will be around, but both Antawn and Agent Zero are free agents. How about a Jamison clone? 19. Cleveland - C Robin Lopez, Stanford It's almost inconceivable how bad Ferry has butchered this roster, leaving really only LeBron to buil around. Lopez reminds me a lot of Varejao with his energy and defense, and he's probably gone this summer 20. Denver - C Alexis Ajinca, France Can I just say that if Denver ends up trading Melo this summer to keep AI and the rest of their pieces, it's going to be a franchise disastrous mistake? 21. New Jersey (via Dal) - SG Courtney Lee, Western Kentucky Someone to replace either VC or RJ, whichever goes. 22. Orlando - SG Jamont Gordon, Miss State Too high, but this team is absolutely hell bent on getting a pure 2 guard shooter. 23. Utah - C Roy Hibbert, Georgetown How the mighty have fallen. But really, in this up tempo NBA game, where else could Hibbert be worth storing on a roster other than a slow defensive half court squad like Utah, Houston, or San Antonio? 24. Seattle (via Phx) - PF Serge Ibaka, Spain Seattle has enough young players to last awhile. Let the old San An GM pull an old trick and store a draft pick away in Europe. 25. Houston - SF Bill Walker, Kansas State Gut feeling. 26. San Antonio - SF Nicolas Batum, France Spurs could use some youth but they follow a pretty tight draft plan and almost consistently take that overseas talent. 27. New Orleans - SG Chris Douglas-Roberts, Memphis I absolutely love CDR and think he's a top 10 player in this draft and a guy who will make an impact despite his unorthodox style. 28. Memphis (via LAL) - PF Jason Thompson, Rider A longtime winner, just not from a marquee program, and another big to add to the picture. 29. Detroit - PF JaVale McGee, Nevada Probably should be gone by now, but oh well. Dumars has quietly drafted really well since the Darko disaster. 30. Boston - PG Mario Chalmers Cassell shouldn't be back and the team doesn't have confidence in House. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | cuz seriously, the nba can never have enough average talented tall white guys. no really, i expected hed go higher too, and the twolves pick was 51% gallinari, 49% lopez for me. but after that i just didnt see a fit without a trade until 14. milwaukee was a consideration but they have enough bigs for now. charlotte was the closest but i went with a more polished player. new jersey and sacto were also high considerations but went with the bigger upside, flashier players there. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | eric gordon not in my top 15. dont are much for him. streaky shooter, pretty small, not a hard worker, doesnt play a lot of defense. i think he'll bust. kevin love is far too smart and fundamental to be a bust. hes one of the safest players in the draft. not a ton of upside, but you know exactly what youre getting. |

| a.k.a. Kingdome | Here are your top 5 picks at this moment. 1). Rose 2). Beasley 3). Mayo 4). B. Lopez 5). Love Miami is shopping the #2 pick. I think they want to trade down to draft Kevin Love. Seattle wants Beasley or Rose and has talked about swapping picks and giving the Heat Chris Wilcox. I have also heard a Memphis rumor involving Mike Conley Jr. |

| Thats Mr. Slabaugh to you | Everyone has Chris Paul fever and are looking for the next one. Chris Paul is a very special player and while Mayo will be IMO a decent NBA player he won't ever be a Nash/Williams/Paul type player. |
