| A Voice of Reason | Don't count out the Raiders dumping Moss and Porter and bringing in Johnson. He's probably the best player in the draft, and I think they could rebuild around a talent like that who also has a reputation of a team player. |

| who me? Admin | The more I think about this, the more I can envision Calvin Johnson in Oakland. I think there is much more that needs to be addressed, but if they don't go quarterback then Johnson would probably be the best option. |

| Deputy Premium Member Moderator | Its what I have seen in all the mocks posted so far. Most have Russell going first..but some are starting to turn to Johnson.

| 'Burghapologist | (From AOL.com sports, Sunday morning) It's hard to imagine Johnson's draft stock could have improved, but after running a 4.35-forty at the Combine that is exactly what happened. The Georgia Tech wide receiver is 6'5", 235 pounds, possesses great hands, and is a solid individual. Like I've stated a few times thus far.. Jarrett and Ginn, Jr = Very Good; Johnson = Great |

| A Voice of Reason | I don't think there's any doubt that he's as close to a lock as anyone in this year's draft. You don't usually have physical freaks like this who are also thought of as solid individuals. I've got 1.1 in my dynasty league rookie draft, and though I'm thin at RB, it's going to be hard to pass on CJ. |

| Who Me? Admin | There's a large gap IMO from 3 to 4 in this group. Meachem is clearly in the second group from what I saw this year. Now he may have jumped to the top of the 2nd tier, but I don't think this kid is in the same league as CJ, Jarrett, and Ginn.

| SO Resident Choke Artist | LOL, i'm backtracking just a tad, but what happens when Jarrett's 4.7ish 40 hits the board at pro day? Absolutely right, Meacham definitely has improved his stock, but I'm actually starting to waver just a tad on Jarrett, I honestly think NOT running at the combine's going to come back to hurt him just a bit........ |

| 'Burghapologist | Calvin Johnson appeared live on ESPN2's Cold Pizza this morning and of course, was humble, well-spoken, and generally said all the right things. No surprise there. Of interest was that he dispelled all the Combine stories about him blazing a sub-4.4 40 yd. dash in borrowed shoes. In reality, he noticed another prospect attempting to run in what he referred to as "tennis shoes", or basically not the optimal shoes for a man to run his best time on that surface. After confirming they had the same size feet, Calvin let the other prospect borrow his own shoes to run in, and when media members saw the other man returning Johnson's shoes, assumed the roles were reversed and Calvin was using borrowed shoes. So, this made me chuckle because as one legend dies (NFL Combine 40 in borrowed shoes), another one grows (Johnson's big heart). Can this guy do no wrong? |
