| Jack Bauer = Bad Ass! Premium Member | I brought up the fact that this draft seemed rather weak to me in another thread earlier today. Another poster disagreed and feels that this is one of the best drafts in the last few years. I guess you have to look at this from an NFL perspective and a fantasy perspective. Personally, I think it is rather weak for both...but especially fantasy. The first round will be loaded with OL and DL, with several mediocre WR's thrown in. For the NFL, it may be better as those guys need the OL and DL for sure. When rating a draft class, do you tend to look at it more from the fantasy perspective, or the NFL perspective? ![]() |

| Outlaw | *blinks* Mediocre WRs? The fuck are you smoking? Whatever it is, put it down, because it's not good for your health (mental and otherwise.) Even the WRs of note that will slide down into the 2nd round and past will be solid #2s and maybe one of them might be another Marques Colsten. And while the OL might not be good for a fantasy team, I play in a league where good DLs might account for half of a team's points on a good day. Mind you, I have other needs, so I'm not going to be giving much consideration to DEs or DTs (unless there's nothing better available.) |

Yes, I play in a league where DL's account for quite a bit, however, they usually don't put up solid numbers in their rookie season. As far as skill positions, there just are not that many this year. | |||

| TO THE DEATH | There is a lot of separation between the top tier guys and everyone else this year. While there is great talent at several positions, there just isn't a lot of depth. Only 2 RB's that are worthy of a 1st rd pick, and that's only if Peterson comes out. 2 pretty good QB's and that's it. Lots of depth at the WR position. This year is the year for a wideout. Good OL as always. There's some defensive talent but not a lot that people are projecting to become those shut down db's. All in all, the first round's got talent, after that, there just doesn't seem to be any depth. |

| Outlaw | I think this draft will suprise, with how the last class came in and so many rookie's started. I think both Joe Thomas and Levi Brown will immediately start left or right tackle and immediately help the team that they go to. I think that this class has some of the more well rounded, ready to start immediately type players. The corner Revis out of Pitt can start, Joe Staley, Chris Houston, Calvin Johnson, JeMarcus Russel, Brady Quinn, Reggie Nelson, Laron Landry, Ted Ginn, Anthony Gonzales, Paul Posluszny, Marshawn Lynch, Antonio Pittman, Tony Hunt, Adrian Peterson and COUNTLESS other's can go in and fight for playing time and be full year starters as rookie's. ![]() |
