As for correct or incorrect, I think it has to be one or the other, there can't really be a so far, which is why you gotta give these guys some time in the league.

Hell, David Carr got 5 years in the league, and going into this year, there were still those saying he was good, and those saying he was going to be better than Delhomme in Carolina.
Funny, I don't see anyone giving Mike Williams three or more years before they labelled him a bust.

id like to go ahead and point out something i just realized... in hired guns this year, phic actually traded joey galloway AND his upcoming 1st round rookie pick -- which is now the #2 pick in the draft -- for the right to draft dwayne jarrett.

no further witness, your honor....

Nice try. Actually, I traded Galloway and a #1 for a couple of picks. One of them ended up being Jarrett. This was due to the fact I had the oldest wr core in the league...AND...I blew the Ginn pick. I could have had him instead. OH well........

"For the right to" means you could of drafted anyone and you chose to draft Jarrett....

Oh boy.....this guys got me all excited (cue laughter)

Longest career catch was for 56 yards. Injury prone. Slow and weak.

This guy has Lions 1st rounder written all over him.

Remember when Keyshawn wanted to take him under his wing and teach him, and then the Panthers cut him, the team went to shit, and Steve Smith had a crappy year.

Yep.....bet if they had it to do over again theyd have kept Keyshawn

Jarrett pleads guilty

Quote:
CHARLOTTE -- Carolina Panthers wide receiver Dwyane Jarrett pleaded guilty on Monday to a charge of driving while impaired.

Jarrett was arrested in March after recording a blood alcohol level of 0.12.

On Monday, Jarrett was given a 30-day suspended sentence, ordered to pay $420 in fines and complete 24 hours of community service.

After the verdict, Jarrett said he was “happy to get this over with and learn from my mistakes.”

From Rotoworld:

Dwayne Jarrett pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of DWI.
Jarrett initially entered a not guilty plea, but changed his mind. He got a 30-day suspended sentence, must pay $420 in fines, and perform 24 hours of commmunity service. He could be suspended by the league, but that seems unlikely. Jarrett is slated to be Carolina's fourth or fifth receiver in 2008. Jun. 23 - 11:11 am et

I'll take some medicine about the weak attempt at prognosticating Monk's draft value. Injuries and spotty QB play derailed what was a promising 2008 season. Sarge if you didn't know the name or ever see him play, think James Hardy in terms of body type and skill set.

After sampling some humble pie, I will however present a big fat "Told ya so" in regards to last year's debate about Jarrett being ridiculously overrated by certain folks. (The jury is still out on Mikey Revis, by the way.. lol)
Come to think of it, USC's track record of producing quality professionals is starting to slide precipitously. Even Norm Chow couldn't keep a job. Steve Smith (NYG) had a nice run in the postseason, though.

I went and read up on him before I posted the Monk thing. I never actually saw him play, but then again on the RARE occasion I took in anything Arkansas all i saw was Jones and McFaddin
