Went with Quinn, though I feel it will be a HUGE mistake, Houston HAS to try to get their QB situation wrapped up again.

Brady Quinn, they would be stupid to pass on him if he drops to this spot.

I am going to go Brown here. OL is a huge need for Houston, and to get a young LT, to help develop whoever they leave at Qb is too much to pass up. Landry and Lynch are also very appealing here...but I think they can get by with rb later in this draft. Brown is a must.

As for Qb, until I see Carr gone...I don't see them taking a Qb this early.

i went with Brown, the 2nd best LT. The Texans just need to give Carr some time to throw

That story is 5 years old now, and it appears that Houston is done trying to develop Carr. Management is showing very little public support for Carr and just about every rumor mill going has the Texans shopping Carr to the highest bidder.

combine rumor mill expects this kid to have an AMAZING combine.........i expect him to be in the top 10 to be honest, i'd be surprised if he dropped at this point.........that being said, reminds me that it's about time to do another mock, i have him dropping WAY WAY down in the last one

Personally I want to see Brown here. I would scream if we took Quinn here. Mostly because I can't see any QB being safe behind our horrible O-Line. Carr looked good at the beginning of the season. He crapped out when the running game couldn't take off and the O-line couldn't give him time. We ended the season with 19 on IR. Most of that was O line and offense. Sigh... Give me a good LT and I'll be a happy Texans Fan!

I voted Brown here also as the Texans need to address their line. While maybe Brown is supposed to be a reach here, I don't think so. Good Lineman don't grow on trees and Free Agent Lineman have been fetching huge contracts and there are not enough to go around.

Last I have seen from their management is they won't give him away. They plan to keep him and they know they need talent and OL around him. Granted it isn't a rousing endorcement...but it aint give me a 3rd and I will send him away either.

After the combine workout, top 10 isn't nearly as much of a lock as it looked like a week ago.

Some still think he will be top 10, not seeing many thoughts of top 5. Looking like more are thinking he is likely to fall toward the end of the first round.

Guys like Tony Ugoh may have passed him up at the combine. Brown had a good combine, others just may have had better.

I went outside the box here with "other", thinking specifically of Okoye, the DT from Louisville. What better way to save face with the Mario Williams pick than to park a young stud tackle inside to allow Mario to succeed?

My latest mad scientist prediction:
Carr to Oakland for the Raiders' 2nd rounder.
Then Oakland can pick the guy they really need.. Joe Thomas.
Houston then can go O-line with both early 2nd round picks, or O-line and Defensive Back, or trade those 2 picks to get back into the first round. Possibilities are endless. LOL

No way do they try and develop another QB. They make the safe move here and take the LT.

IMO they end up with Plummer from the Broncos.

This is some good discussion. So I will leave it going until tomorrow. So if you havn't voted....get your opinion in. Right now its a two horse race between Brown and Quinn.

Been figuring on that happening for a while now, but I figure on them getting him and going after a rookie quarterback early.
