| 'Burghapologist | Agreed on Branch, unless Quinn is there still. Though I still maintain when the dust settles, Amobe Okoye goes ahead of Branch at DT in this draft. I have a bigger man-crush on that kid than Mike has with Jarrett! |

| Who Me? Admin | Until this team protects their QB better, they are not going to take it to the next level. Levi Brown is a good player at a position of need. Don't see how they can pass on him. |

| SO Resident Choke Artist | I see Branch going here mainly because he's the top player on the board at this point........him falling to #9 will be considered a slight slip, but Miami desparately needs to get younger along the defensive line...... |

| Outlaw | Um, actually, I think people tend to forget (if they ever noticed) that Miami has plenty of young talent. In fact, Miami took (I believe) two defensive tackles last year. That said, Amobi Okoye is the best fit for the Fins. He's very young, which means he hasn't come close to reaching his full potential. He's also smart enough and athletic enough to play in Miami's hybrid scheme; he can play DT in the 4-3, slide outside to DE when the Fins go for a 3-4, and might even be talented enough to occasionally play 3-4 ILB if Capers wants to get creative. Oh, and Quinn isn't going to be taken by Miami no matter what. One of the things Cameron has been harping on is that his quarterbacks need to be hard workers and leaders. Well, Quinn skipping the draft with no medical excuse is, to my mind, proof he doesn't want to work for what he thinks he deserves, which is the exact opposite of a hard worker. He's also (reportedly) been kinda whiny when asked about his supposed slide down the draft board; a lack of composure in the face of adversity does not a leader make. Branch, for all his greatness, probably doesn't have all that, so he's not a good fit for Miami's system. |

| Outlaw | Funny, that "over the hill defense" was 4th best in the league and most of the guys in the front seven just played the best year of their careers. The only reason the Fins would take DT is because most of theirs are going to free agency and will command money about their value. As it is, Branch simply isn't a good fit for the Fins; I'm not convinced he's smart enough or talented enough to do everything the Fins' complex hybrid defense would require of him. |

| Outlaw | The Fins need to pick up somebody to play LT, that's for sure. However, I'm also sure the Fins can pick up good talent at that position in the early second round. The same can't be said of DT and maybe not even DB (which is the Achilles heel of the Fins' D.) |

Youth at DT would be nice, but not sure I'm buying that it is a critical need. As far as the Okoye vs Branch debate, I agree Okoye is the top DT on my board at this point, just don't see this as someone the Ohins need to take at #9. | |||

| Outlaw | Not a critical need? Better to have mediocre players at LT than to not have anybody playing DT at all. All three of the guys who played DT with regularity last year (I'm not counting Taylor or Roth playing the elephant role) are going to be gone. There's no question about it. |
