Although I am leaning toward Johnson being picked first. I will say Russell and REALLY hope I am right as a Lion's fan that wants to see Tampa trade for the #2 pick to gain Johnson.

speaking of going completely overboard... the only other idea i had was one vb for each nfl team of what position they would draft with their first pick. five options or each, plus field. would be another 32 events. .... now are we overboard? lol.

Ok, I am officially disappointed in the NFL Network today. Tomorrow is one of the biggest events in the NFL, and the NFL Network, the Flagship Station of the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE is still showing old combine stuff.

These guys should be live all day talking NFL DRAFT!

I think most of the NFL Network production staff is working their tails off getting their shit together for tomorrow.

I'm sure Mike will be thrilled to get rid of his Eagles potato chip helmet.

Bring on the draft!! I cant wait to see the mistakes that will ruin franchises for years to come - just as long as its not my team.

less than 11 hours until we hear the following......

"Welcome to the 2007 NFL Draft. The Oakland Raiders have the first selection, and they are now on the clock."

Man, how odd is it going to be to hear Roger Goodell saying those words?

From ESPN's Michael Smith this morning....
Quote:
It appears the Oakland Raiders have made their choice, and it's JaMarcus Russell. According to two sources, one with the Raiders and one close to Russell, the team called Russell Friday to inform him he would be the No. 1 pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Schefter - If no Blockbuster deal, Lions will draft Calvin Johnson

The Detroit Lions organization met Friday and concluded that, unless a blockbuster trade offer comes their way, they will draft Georgia Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

Wow, drafting another wideout. That takes some balls no matter how highly touted the guy is. Charles Rogers was supposed to be the next Jerry Rice coming out of college but it sure didn't work out that way...

Yeah, but I would love to be the quarterback throwing to those receivers if it happened
