finally got some time and did 2 rounds, probably my only effort between now and the draft. cant believe its a week away!!

take a look and give some feedback. its not your average joe's mock. spent a lot of time on it and have some unique thoughts, would love to hear what you think:

Read somewhere on NFL.com, it was in one of the mocks, where the writer was told by TB officials that Quinn won't slip past them if he makes it to #4.

I also disagree with your characterization that the entire Miami offensive line was bad, it was the left side. ckparrothead on the Finheaven boards, who is a very good analyst, went through the entire seasons' game film and the vast majority of sacks were allowed by the left side. Vernon Carey is a very good RT and LJ Shelton was above average last year. I also disagree with the first 2nd round pick because it's a reach, Cameron and Mueller have both said time and again in press conferences that they will take the best player available and will not draft to need. Not sure I agree with the Ginn pick, either, because he's kinda raw and both Branch and Hall would fill needs and have less chance of being underdeveloped busts.

i dont like the ginn pick either, but ive heard a lot out of miami of them liking him a lot. and youre right about the line, i was overgeneralizing. i like carey, and shelton is decent. also, im not sure i buy the BPA talk. isnt that what every coach / GM will say, and what the ideal always is? you cant pen yourself into a corner going into a draft saying we're only drafting X and Y positions. i dunno, just playing devils advocate.

Well, yeah, but Mueller's running the draft and he doesn't have a history of drafting needs, he takes the BPA every time. Which isn't to say he's right every time about how he ranks the players and their potential, but he does stick with that system. He was the GM in Seattle when they were racking up players like Shawn Springs.

And I don't buy the Ginn talk. I think what Cam and Mueller are doing is trying to bring the hype on players like Ginn and Quinn (hey, I rhymed) so that true quality players will slide to them. I was watching one of Cameron's press conferences and one of the reporters asked him what was so impressive about Ginn Jr. Cameron replied with some crap about being impressed with Sr and by extension being impressed with Jr, because Cam knows both Sr and Jr. Sounds like somebody who's more impressed with Ginn as a person, rather than a football player.

Detroit taking a QB and a RB ? Not happening. We will be going defense, defense , defense. At least I hope so. Russell might not be that bad of a pick for us, just pretty sure we won't do that. Lynch will not hear Detroit calling his name. Too many RBs on our roster already.

I enjoyed the rest of your mock, though. Good Job.

No way we draft a TE in round # 1 .I do like your second round picks but think one will be a LB or DE .
