Well, this is pretty much a waste of time pick, because I think it is a lock that the Bears won't have this pick at this point. But for the sake of mocking I will give them Blalock

Just curious here...are you assuming trading down..or up? I have heard rumors that some Qb needing teams may be willing to deal up in the late first to get Stanton or Edwards..but I am curious what you are thinking here?

Oh, I agree with the blalock pick as well.

Figuring on it being a lock that they will deal Briggs and the #31 pick and move way up.

Down is a possibility as well if it is for multiple picks, but either way, I am 99% sure that Briggs is gone on draft day.

I am very interested in this year's draft. It may end up being boring, but I see the potential for a few big trades in the first round this year. Detroit wants to move, Denver wants to move, Chicago needs to move Briggs, Dallas is looking to move up... That is just a few of the rumors

Took Timmons. If they stay where they are, they need to find a replacement for Briggs.

If they stay where they are, that means Briggs is staying.

nah, it could mean they trade briggs and their #37 and end up with two first round picks. pretty viable scenario if you ask me. if i was chicago i think id much rather do that and walk away with two solid first round starters. i bet the steelers, jags, and bengals would jump at that offer and move chicago up to the 15-18 range.

Staying, but playing????? That is the problem. And since it is a very good possibility he will hold out a chunk of the season if he's not dealt a replacement is still needed.

Bengals can't afford to pay him.

If Briggs stays and sits for 10 games, I think that will be a horrible decision for him. That is too long to sit out of football, and when he did return, as a coach I wouldn't be in any hurry to put him in the starting lineup.

I would bet that if he stays, he plays. May not be happy, but I think he would play.

If I'm the Bears, I'm planning on playing without him. If he's there, he's there. If not, I have someone ready to take his spot.

I took Justin Harrell DT Tennessee because when Tommie Harris went down thier D really took a hit. Besides who else do they have at DT. They could wait and get Lawrence Timmons Lb Florida State in the second round

... and the Steelers won't, even though they can. Big name FA's aren't their style.

I chose Harrell here as well both because of Harris coming back from injury and the fact Tank Johnson may not be playing this year after he gets released from Oz.

And if L.Timmons makes it past this spot, bet some vBux he'll be wearing an upside-down horseshoe on his helmet in 2007.

Bears won't take Jarvis Moss because they already have him. His name's Alex Brown.
